As we approach the new year I have now started to gradually get back into my fitness.
I am doing 100 dumbbells and squats a day, with other small low intensity exercises such as leg raises and oblique exercises, just to help gain strength in my legs again, waist and arms ready for when I can start doing more aerobic exercise and get back on the road and running again.
It is amazing when you have been out what seems so long ago how much you can miss it and I really do. Everytime I see someone running I always say “I can’t wait until I can get back running again”.
I am going to start my healthy post natal eating regime too, and burn off those calories gained from pregnancy and Christmas, when I always splash out; so it is good to start loosening the belt a bit and leave the chocolate and crisps for some fruit, vegetables and glasses of water.
I am even going to set myself a challenge by doing the London 10K next year. I did enter it this year but because I fell pregnant before hand, I had to pull out. However definitely want to do it this time and I will be posting my training for this regularly on a weekly basis; plus I will be writing about all my training I do and how I am progressing to get back my self back into shape.
I will giving some tips of how to keep fit whilst pregnant and after.
